I watched a few youtube videos about watercoloring in Photoshop – over the course of three days. I followed along, even tested everything while I went along.

Then when I decided to make a quickie toon and apply it…well, the results aren’t what I hoped.

Back to the youtube videos, and maybe this time find 2-3 hours in a single day to really soak it all in at once.
